A native of Viersen, Germany, Stützle, 20, established new NHL career highs in all major statistical categories in 2021-22 when he ranked second among Senators with 58 points (22 goals, 36 assists) while registering 37 penalty minutes over 79 regular-season games.

"Tim is a dynamic offensive player who utilizes an exceptional blend of speed and skill to be a consistent difference maker. He's electrifying and has quickly become a fan favourite for good reason."
Selected with the Senators' first of three first-round picks (third overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Stützle will enter the 2022-23 campaign having recorded 87 points (34 goals, 53 assists) and 51 penalty minutes over the first 132 contests of his NHL career. His 34 markers already see him sit within the top 50 players in franchise history in goals.
Internationally, Stützle skated in his first IIHF World Championship this past spring in Finland where he tallied two points (two assists) over three games for Germany. Previoulsy, he was named the 2021 IIHF U-20 World Junior Championship's top forward after leading Germany to the playoff round for the first time in tournament history and by way of registering 10 points (five goals, five assists) over five games while serving as German captain.
