"We have been impressed by the level of competition that has been present since the beginning of camp," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "Tomorrow's game against Montreal will be a good test, specifically for those players and prospects hoping to break camp with Ottawa. We have some difficult decisions to make, and this game will be an important evaluation tool."
Craig Anderson and prospect Joey Daccord will dress in goal, while the defence is expected to include recently-extended Thomas Chabot and the pre-season debut of Nikita Zaitsev. At forward, the line of Brady Tkachuk, Colin White and Connor Brown is scheduled to dress along with a number of prospects, including Drake Batherson, Filip Chlapik, Jonathan Davidsson, Alex Formenton, Josh Norris and Max Veronneau.
