The Red Zone, which is located at the Gate 1 entrance of Canadian Tire Centre, will be open to fans starting at 3 p.m. Featuring live entertainment including a live DJ on a DJ stage, interactive games, giveaways for young fans, inflatables, a beer garden and patio, the venue will also welcome Ottawa's Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine to the Rideau Carleton Casino Stage where the pair will perform a variety of their hit songs in the lead up to and at the first intermission of Saturday night's game. The performance is also scheduled to include the premiere of the Senators new theme song which was inspired by the season's tag line, "The Kids are Alright".
Beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Senators players (who will be joined by local minor hockey players), coaches, members of the team's hockey management and executive staff, Rookie the Sens CNIB Pup, alumni and team broadcast personalities will continue the tradition of being welcomed to Canadian Tire Centre on the Red Carpet. Each player, who will be greeted with a pre-selected walk-up song for the first time, coaches and executives will arrive at the front of the arena in vehicles provided by the Ford Dealers of Ottawa. They will then proceed along the Red Carpet to interact and pose for photos with fans ahead of entering the venue.
