Kelly, 37, will join Donovan to help oversee and support the progress of prospects throughout the Senators system. He returns to the team for which he was drafted and began his career. He was a member of the 2007 team that made the franchise's only appearance in the Stanley Cup Final and returned to be was part of the 2017 team that was defeated in double overtime in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.
In 845 career NHL games, Kelly scored 123 goals and added 168 assists for 291 points with Ottawa, the Boston Bruins and the Anaheim Ducks. He won the Stanley Cup as part of the 2011 Bruins, a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2017 Spengler Cup and most recently served as captain of the 2018 Canadian Olympic Men's hockey team, capturing a bronze medal.
