OTTAWA - The Senators Community Foundation announced today the Ignite Hope digital campaign, presented by Bell; a two-week fundraising effort that will culminate with a special broadcast fundraiser on TSN5 on Thursday, March 30, starting at 6 p.m.

The Senators Community Foundation believes that every child has the right to a good life, and a safe place to grow up, learn, play sports and make good friends - no matter where they live, what they look like or what challenges they are facing. Knowing we are making a tangible difference is what is important to us.
The Ignite Hope campaign is a major part of the revitalization of the new Senators Community Foundation. Its purpose is to mobilize the team's connection to the community to ignite action and invite community members to join us to make a tangible difference in our community by supporting local, front-line agencies that deliver vital programs and services.
The funds raised by the Senators Community Foundation will support and focus on organizations that are aimed at those most vulnerable in our community and more specifically to provide access to mental health support, after school programs, nutritional support, access to sports/recreation and supporting children and youth who need physical care.
"At the Senators Community Foundation, we believe every child belongs. We are all players and we all can make a difference in a child's life," said president Jacqueline Belsito. "The love for our team and our city is something we all share because hockey is not about any one of us, it is about all of us. With our collective heart, we can make a positive difference in the lives of all children in our region."
