"After consulting with Chris' surgeon, Dr. Bryan Kelly, his recommendation is that Chris needs more time to fully heal before being ready for game action, so we have made the decision that he will not play for the remainder of the season," said general manager Pierre Dorion. "We feel this is the best decision for Chris' long-term health. He will remain fully engaged with the club and work with our medical team to continue his treatment until he is medically cleared."
