OTTAWA - The
Ottawa Senators
announced today that the club has signed defenceman Josh Brown to a two-year contract. The contract holds an average annual value of $1.2M and will see Brown earn $1M in 2020-21 and $1.4M in 2021-22.

A pending restricted free agent upon being acquired by the Senators from Florida in exchange for the team's fourth-round draft pick (95th overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft on Oct. 2, Brown registered eight points (three goals, five assists) and 39 penalty minutes over an NHL career-high 56 games with the Panthers last season.
A native of London, Ont., Brown, 26, was Florida's sixth-round selection (152nd overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft. Over 93 career NHL games with Florida, he has posted 10 points (four goals, six assists) and 67 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 170 American Hockey League contests with the Panthers' primary affiliates in Portland and Springfield over which he recorded 27 points (seven goals, 20 points) and 204 penalty minutes.
