Ottawa's
2021 development and rookie camp roster
features three first-round NHL draft picks - Jacob Bernard-Docker (26th, 2018), Lassi Thomson (19th, 2019) and Ridly Greig (28th, 2020). Both Bernard-Docker and rookie forward Shane Pinto made their respective NHL debuts with the Senators in 2020-21.
Nine players on the roster appeared in the AHL last season, while one saw playing time in the ECHL. Eighteen (18) of the 24 players are Senators draft selections while the other six players will be participating under tryout agreements. Four of the Senators' six 2021 draftees (Carson Latimer, Zack Ostapchuk, Ben Roger and Chandler Romeo) will be on-hand while a total of 10 players have been selected by Ottawa within the last calendar year.
The development camp, which will take place from Saturday, Sept. 11, through Tuesday, Sept. 14, will focus on on-ice skills' work and training while including off-ice presentations. Senators player development coaches Shean Donovan and Jesse Winchester will lead the development camp. The rookie camp, which takes place from Wednesday, Sept. 15, through Monday, Sept. 20, and which mainly includes daily on-ice practices, will be primarily overseen by
Belleville Senators
head coach Troy Mann, B-Sens assistant coaches David Bell and Ben Sexton and goaltending coach Justin Peters.
While the camp's on-ice sessions will be limited to media and not include daily public access, Senators fans will have an opportunity to see the rookie team in action when it hosts the Canadiens' Rookies on Saturday, Sept. 18. Priority access, pending provincial indoor capacity limit increases, will be provided to Senators season-seat members. For additional single game and season-seat details, fans are encouraged to email
