As we continue to navigate this unique 2020-21 NHL season, the Ottawa Senators will face a Canadian foe for the first time this season tonight in the Vancouver Canucks.
The two teams will meet nine times over the course of the season with three of those match-ups coming this week in British Columbia.
With that being said, here's how the Senators have fared previously against the Canucks.

Overall Record
The Sens and Canucks have faced off 45 times previously with Ottawa holding an 18-20-5 record with two ties. In 22 home contests, the Sens have 10 wins and collected 23 points, meaning they've left British Columbia with 20 points from 23 road contests.
The Sens have completed the season sweep four times over the Canucks: in 1996-97, 1998-99, 2000-01, and most recently in 2016-17, going 2-0-0 on each occasion.
The 105 goals Ottawa has scored against Vancouver is the lowest it's tallied against any of the Canadian teams.
Player Stats
Two Senators icons are tied atop the stats leaderboard for appearances against the Canucks as both Daniel Alfredsson and Chris Phillips each played 23 games against Vancouver.
There's also a tie for the most goals against the Canucks with Shawn McEachern and Bobby Ryan each scoring five times.
Alfredsson's 12 assists and 16 points remain the most in Ottawa's history versus Vancouver. Chris Neil tallied 79 penalty minutes in 20 games.
Between the pipes, Craig Anderson's four wins are the most by a Senators goaltender against their furthest west opponent. Damian Rhodes and Ron Tugnutt each beat Vancouver three times during their careers with the Senators.
