Ottawa Senators prospects dominated the National Collegiate Hockey Conference awards that were announced Monday afternoon.

Shane Pinto captured the NCHC scoring title with 28 points in 23 games and was the only unanimous All-NCHC selection as he was named to the First All-Conference team.
His 15 goals led the NCHC as he helped North Dakota capture the Penrose Cup as the NCHC's regular season champions for the second straight year. The 20-year-old also led the conference with seven power play goals and won 308 faceoffs at a success rate of 62 per cent, the best in the NCHC.
Pinto was also recently named a nominee for the Hobey Baker award, given annually to the NCAA's top player.
Defenceman Jacob Bernard-Docker was named to the NCHC Second All-Conference team. Bernard-Docker received five first-place votes after a season in which he had two goals and 15 points in 24 games. His +/- of 15 was tied for second on UND.
Furthermore, freshman blue liner Jake Sanderson was named to the NCHC All-Rookie team after receiving 12 first-team votes.
Sanderson helped the United States win gold at the 2021 World Juniors and in his rookie NCAA season had two goals and 11 points in 17 contests while having the fourth best +/- on UND with a +13. It marks the second straight year a Sens prospect has made the NCHC All-Rookie team after Pinto was selected after the 2019-20 season.
The NCHC Frozen Faceoff begins Friday where UND, that also features Sens prospect Tyler Kleven, face eighth seeded Miami (OH).
Luke Loheit's Minnesota-Duluth squad, seeded third, face the sixth placed Western Michigan. Jonny Tychonick and the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks battle Denver in a 4 vs. 5 matchup.
