Canadian Tire Centre will be the home to fan fun and events all season long, and things were kicked-off in style with the Senators' opening week of the season. The fun isn’t set to stop any time soon. A full breakdown of the Senators' theme and speciality games can be found here!

It hasn't just been off-ice fun for Sens fans to enjoy. On the ice, the Senators posted a 3-1 record at home to start the season, with the team scoring a whopping 17 goals in four games. The season kicked-off with a 3-1 Senators win over the Florida Panthers in the team's home opener. Tim Stützle scored twice to open the season, while Shane Pinto also got his first of the season.

Off the ice, fans were treated to a red carpet entrance where they had the opportunity to meet their favourite Senators players as they arrived pregame. The event also included the first 10,000 fans taking home a special QR code calendar as well as enjoying live music and $5 beers on the plaza.

The second home game of the season saw the Senators celebrate Sensgiving in a game taking place on Thanksgiving Monday. Fans who enjoy high scoring games had lots to be thankful for as the Senators emerged victorious over the Los Angeles Kings in overtime by a score of 8-7. The two teams combined for 15 goals on the day! Four Senators had three point outings: Drake Batherson (one goal, two assists), Josh Norris (two goals, one assist), Tim Stützle (three assists) and Brady Tkachuk (three assists). Zack MacEwen scored twice for the Senators, while Claude Giroux, Jake Sanderson, and Thomas Chabot all scored goals of their own as well.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Senators Community Foundation teamed up with the Ottawa Food Bank to help battle food insecurity in the National Capital Region. Fans attending the game did their part too, as they brought in nonperishable food items for donation.

The following Thursday was the Senators' first Throwback Thursday game of the season and saw the Senators fall to the New Jersey Devils. Brady Tkachuk scored the lone goal for the Sens, continuing his hot start to the season. Off the ice, fans enjoyed Throwback Thursday prices such as $5 hotdogs and popcorn or $6 beer. The plaza hosted a variety of activities for fans to enjoy pregame, and those who arrived early received a Throwback Thursday exclusive posted done by artist Samantha Woj. Fans will want to arrive early to all upcoming Throwback Thursday games to grab one of the limited edition Throwback Thursday posters that will be given to the first 10,000 fans in attendance.

To wrap up the Senators' opening week festivities was a celebration fit for a king — of the jungle and the Ottawa Gatineau Region. Spartacat celebrated his birthday with a party on October 19 at Canadian Tire Centre as the Sens took on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Dairy Farmers of Ontario stepped up to make sure it was a huge bash, providing complimentary milk beverages for guests to enjoy. The first 5,000 fans in attendance received their very own Spartacat pillowcase, while mascots from around the city and the NHL joined Sparty for his big day.

The Senators had a gift of their own for Sparty, as they gave him a win on his big day.
