Another day, another game for Team Teal. The Sharks wrap up their quick three game road trip tonight with a stop in Colorado to take on the surging Avalanche.
The Avalanche have been on fire in 2018. They currently hold the longest winning streak in the league, having won seven straight coming into tonight. However, the Sharks are on a bit of a hot streak themselves; they are a perfect 3-0-0 since the bye week.
The Sharks are coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Arizona Coyotes that saw both Joe Thornton and Mikkel Boedker score for their second straight game. Joe Pavelski scored in the shootout, while Aaron Dell stopped all the pucks he faced in his first career shootout.
It's the hope that the game against the Coyotes - where the Sharks went up 2-0 before being forced to overtime and the subsequent shootout - was a result of fatigue, and the first half of the game and the entire game in Los Angeles are the real second-half Sharks.
