Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as the day goes on.
It's been an eventful four days since the San Jose Sharks last played a game, but the team is back in action tonight as they begin their five-game road trip in Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins.
While most of the team was off on their All-Star Break mini-vacation, Brent Burns and family spent the weekend in Tampa Bay, showing off to the league and - for the second time in three seasons - bringing home the NHL All-Star championship with the rest of the Pacific Division.
But let's talk about hockey that counts. The Sharks went into the break with a pair of somewhat disappointing losses: A 5-4 OT loss to the Winnipeg Jets and a 6-5 loss to the New York Rangers. Both games saw comebacks mounted by the Sharks, but neither were enough to earn the two points.
The Sharks continue to try to play without center Joe Thornton. Logan Couture in particular has already stepped up in his absence, but it'll be a group effort to deal with Thornton being out.
The last time the Penguins and Sharks met was a little less than two weeks ago on January 20. It was an emotional night, with the Sharks hosting Make-A-Wish kid Hayden Bradley, that saw the Sharks pull out a 2-1 victory.

As expected, Martin Jones gets the start after missing the past few games with an injury. There's also a decent amount of lineup shuffling as the Sharks try to adjust playing without Joe Thornton.
