Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as the day goes on.
Hockey is back! After five days off, the Sharks are finally back in action as they host the Arizona Coyotes. And it's not just that hockey is back - it also happens to be Warriors Night presented by Zoom, meaning that there's a little basketball flavor to the hockey game.
If could manage to remember the last time the team has played (no worries if you can't - it has been a while), the Sharks dropped a disappointing game 4-1 to the Winnipeg Jets to wrap up the road trip that started 2018 for the team. The Sharks were within 2-1 near the end of the second, but a goal late in the second and an empty-netter in the third sealed it for the Jets.
The Sharks are hoping that the five days off - and the mini-vacations many of the players took - will help get the team back on track after a mildly disappointing road trip. They get their chance to start the home portion of 2018 against the Pacific Division rival Arizona Coyotes, who they beat 3-1 earlier in the season.

As mentioned earlier, it's Warriors Night, which means all fans in attendance get a special Sharks and Warriors mashup jersey. Be sure to get to SAP Center early so you can get your giveaway and get to your seat before the 7:30pm puck drop.

In addition, the Sharks will be wearing Warriors-themed warmup jerseys that we've heard look incredibly sick, which will be auctioned off during the game.

The lineup for tonight's contest agains the Desert Dogs looks largely the same as what played in Winnipeg on Sunday. As expected, Martin Jones gets the start.
