(WHL) announced today that forward Joachim Blichfeld was awarded the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the
WHL's Player of the Year
.
Blichfeld registered career highs in his third WHL season, with 114 points (53 goals, 61 assists) in 68 games played for the
Portland Winterhawks
. He led the WHL in points, co-led in goals and finished tied for seventh in assists. Among
Canadian Hockey League
(CHL) players, the
San Jose Sharks
prospect completed the regular season second in points and tied for third in goals. He appeared in five WHL playoff games in 2019, recording four points (two goals, two assists).
