Filip's on Fire
Filip Bystedt has continued his strong play into the World Juniors, helping Sweden earn a spot in the semifinals with seven points (2g, 5a) in five games, including two assists in their quarterfinals win against Finland. He is tied for the team lead in points and leads Sweden in assists. He paces all Swedish forwards in time on ice per game (18:30).

Reese Laubach has eight points (2g, 6a) in seven games since being traded to Omaha, including a five-point (1g, 4) game on New Years Eve.

Artemi at the Ready
Artemi Kniazev registered a pair of assists on Dec. 21 at Abbotsford and earned another assist on Dec. 27 against Bakersfield. The second year blueliner co-leads club defensemen in shots despite missing eight games due to injury.
Other prospect notables:
•Thomas Bordeleau has added two goals to his tally coming out of the Holiday break, bringing him to 15 on the season. He ranks T-8th among AHL skaters in goals and leads all AHL rookies. His seven power-play goals are good for T-5th in the AHL.
•William Eklund has now found the scoresheet in 10 of his last 13 games dating back to Nov. 30. Only two of the AHL's 220 rookies have recorded more points than him this season.
•Zachary Emond stopped 36 of 37 shots he faced on Dec. 22 to earn his third consecutive win. Emond's .936 save percentage through four games is the fifth highest among ECHL goaltenders that have played multiple games this season.
•Alex Young scored a pair of goals in the last two weeks to surpass his previous career high of 10 goals in a season. His .60 goals-per-game pace is the highest by a Colgate player since the 2011-12 season.
•Ethan Cardwell matched career highs with four points (2g, 2a) and a +3 rating on Dec. 31.
•Jake Furlong is on a three-game point streak (1g, 5a) and leads all team defensemen in scoring. He has earned a composite +20 rating over his last 16 games and ranks T-7th in QMJHL plus-minus.
