Viely Good Performances
Jeff Viel recorded a career-long eight-game point streak from Feb. 18 through March 10, and capped it off with a natural hat trick at Bakersfield on March 10. Along the way, Viel set new single-game career highs in goals (three) and assists (three, Feb. 20), matched his single-game career bests in points (three) and plus-minus (plus-three, March 3).
Top Thrun
Henry Thrun co-led all Harvard skaters in their playoff series against Princeton with four points (one goal, three assists) and earned a game-high plus-four rating on Friday. Thrun's impressive weekend pushed his point-per-game average up to 1.00, making him one of five defensemen this season to reach a point-per-game average. He was named the ECAC Defensive Defenseman of the Year on March 16 and was named to the All-Ivy First Team a few days prior.
Ben at His Best
Ben Gaudreau has won each of his last four appearances and has not lost in regulation in over a month. Beginning on Feb. 15, Gaudreau is 7-0-2 with a .932 save percentage in nine appearances.

Other prospect notables:
• Danil Gushchin has five points (one goal, four assists) in his last two games and now ranks third among all AHL rookies in shots. Gushchin is also tied-second in the AHL in shootout goals this season, with four goals on five attempts.
• Artemi Kniazev has found his scoring touch recently, with points in six of his last seven games (eight points in all), including a career-long five-game point streak from Feb. 27 through March 10. Kniazev tallied three assists in San Jose's 6-2 victory against Henderson on March 10 and picked up second star of the game honors.
• Cam Lund scored Northeastern's only goal in their 1-2 playoff loss to Providence that ended their season. Lund was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team for his performances this year.
• Alex Young saw his 18-game point streak end after being held pointless on March 3, but scored Colgate's first goal of the evening on March 10 to spark a 4-3 comeback win against St. Lawrence.
• Ethan Cardwell is riding a nine-game point streak and has at least a goal in eight of his last nine games. Cardwell is eighth in the OHL in goals and 12th in the OHL in points.
• All Sharks prospects based in Europe's seasons have ended except Theo Jacobsson, who has two remaining J20 Nationell games. Jacobsson recorded five points in an 8-1 win against AIK J20 on March 12. The Swede has registered 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 17 J20 Nationell games this season.
• Shakir Mukhamadullin has reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda on March 16.
