) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forwards Timo Meier (
@MeierTimo
) and Kevin Labanc (
@Str8ToTheBanc
) from the San Jose Barracuda (
@sjbarracuda
), the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Meier, 20, has tallied two goals, two assists and 49 shots on goal in 18 games for the Sharks this season.
The six-foot, 210-pound native of Herisau, Switzerland, was the Sharks first-round selection (ninth overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Labanc, 21, has recorded seven goals, seven assists and a plus-five rating for the Sharks this season.
The five-foot-ten, 185-pound native of Brooklyn, New York, was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
