In international play, True represented Denmark's U-20 team in three consecutive seasons at the World Junior Championship. True was named the Captain for the
2017 tournament
and earned the WJC Top-3 Player award in back-to-back seasons from 2016-17. Prior to joining the U-20 squad, True represented Denmark in the U-18 D1A WJC, helping lead his country to the gold medal, scoring five points (two goals, three assists) in five games.
