Sharks to Host Celebration of Black History Night

During pregame warm-ups, Sharks players will wear special jerseys in celebration of the night. The jerseys' shoulder patches showcase the NHL's official Celebration of Black History Month logo and the nameplates and numbers were designed by Local Color artist Dion Rollerson (
@brownnbear408
), a San Jose native who recently graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Design Studies. The pregame jerseys will be available for fans to bid on from February 18, 5PM PT through February 20, 5PM PT via a charitable, mobile auction with net proceeds benefiting
African American Community Service Agency

Additionally, the
Sharks Foundation's

) 50/50 Raffle presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort will benefit
Positive Coaching Alliance
's (PCA) Sports Can Battle Racism program. PCA will host a table on the North Concourse to share information on their sport equity programs with Sharks fans.
Other activities taking place as part of the Sharks Celebration of Black History will include a ceremonial puck drop with Jr. Sharks Players Zaidi And Taji Mobegi, the Star-Spangled Banner being performed by San Jose's own
Jessica Johnson

), and Intermission entertainment performed by speed artist Corbrae Smith (
@hellafutures
).
The Sharks Pro Shop will feature artist collection merchandise from both Rollerson and Sasha Chavez (
@sashamufasa
). Merchandise will include T-shirts, stickers, and posters.
