This month the Sharks Foundation partnered with non-profits doing work in the education sector for our January Education campaign.
To start the new calendar year, the Foundation hosted an auction from January 11-13, which resulted in a $4,500 donation to
Kristi Yamaguchi's Always Dream
. The funds raised will support 75 local T-K and Kindergarten students through their Always Reading literacy program.
On January 15,
Resource Area for Teaching
(RAFT) served as the beneficiary of the 50/50 Raffle presented by
Cache Creek Casino Resort
. The $5,000 raised through raffle proceeds will help RAFT serve 20 teachers and 200 students through their RAFT Maker Mobile Support for Title 1 Schools.

The Foundation hosted an auction from January 15 to January 17, benefiting
Silicon Valley Urban Debate League
, whose mission is to empower Silicon Valley students, regardless of their race or socioeconomic status, to reach their full potential to become professional and community leaders by teaching critical thinking and communication skills through speech and debate programming. The auction raised $3,500 and will provide support for 500 of the students they serve.
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the beneficiary of the 50/50 Raffle presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort on January 17 was the
Community School of Music & Arts
. The raffle resulted in a $3,395 donation to support their MLK Music Show production.
On January 22, the Foundation joined the rest of Sharks Territory to celebrate S.J. Sharkie's birthday by hosting an auction featuring youth apparel and Sharkie autographed merchandise. The auction, which benefited

Additionally,
Reading Partners
