'From high upon this rooftop over South Philly'

• The Stars face off against the Flyers on Saturday night for the first of two meetings this season. The teams didn't meet during the 2020-21 season. The Stars won their only matchup (1-0-0) in 2019-20.
• Dallas has recorded a point in eight of its past 10 overall games against the Flyers (7-2-1).
• At American Airlines Center, the Stars have won their last four and have points in six-straight outings (5-0-1) against the Flyers.
• Forward Michael Raffl began his NHL career in Philadelphia. Over the course of eight seasons, he appeared in 504 games and recorded 160 points (81 goals, 79 assists). He contributed to four playoff runs, playing 28 games and recording eight points (five goals, three assists), including two game-winning goals in the Flyers' first round series against the Canadiens in 2019-20.
• Forward Alexander Radulov has recorded six points (three goals, three assists) in his past four games against the Flyers. The last time the Stars played the Flyers at American Airlines Center on April 2, 2019, Radulov recorded four points (two goals, two assists), including the game-winning goal.
• Defenseman Esa Lindell scored the GWG the last time the Stars faced off against the Flyers, a 4-1 win on Oct. 19, 2019. Lindell has recorded three points (two goals one assist) in seven career games against the Flyers. The Vantaa, Finland native recorded both of his goals against the Flyers on the power play, the only opponent against whom Lindell has recorded multiple power-play tallies.

'Like a kaleidoscope in vibrant hues'

• Defenseman Miro Heiskanen lit the lamp in Wednesday's game against Nashville. With 12 points (three goals, nine assists), Heiskanen leads the Stars in scoring this season.
• Heiskanen has points in three consecutive games (one goal, four assists), including a three-assist/point night in Calgary last Thursday. Heiskanen has twice recorded three points in a game this season, having also done so against the Kings on Oct. 22 (one goal, two assists), when he also tallied his 100th career point.
• At 22 years and 96 days old, he became the youngest defenseman in franchise history to record 100 points, surpassing Craig Hartsburg's previous mark of 22 years and 142 days old.
• The Oct. 22 game against the Kings also marked the 210th of Heiskanen's career, making him the second fastest defenseman in Dallas Stars history and the fourth fastest in franchise history to reach the 100-point plateau.
• The native of Espoo, Finland is tied for fourth among NHL defensemen with 12 points and shares fifth with three goals this season.

'The souvenirs of happiness in the moment'

• Forward Roope Hintz scored his first goal of the 2021-22 campaign in Wednesday's game against Nashville.
• Hintz, 24, recorded an assist in Vancouver on Sunday, his 100th career point (43 goals, 57 assists). He reached the milestone in his 170th NHL game.
• The Tampere, Finland native established new career highs in points (43), assists (28) and power-play goals (6) in only 41 games in 2020-21.
• Hintz finished tied for second on the Stars in assists (28) and ranked third in goals (15) and points (43) last season, increasing his scoring pace by more than double from 2019-20, rising from .52 points per game to 1.05 points per game.
