100 Days of Hockey Presented by Wegmans

The Boston Bruins will round out the Centennial celebration with 100 Days of Hockey presented by Wegmans, a 100-day long initiative to educate, engage, and grow the next generation of youth hockey players and Bruins fans. For 100 consecutive days, the Bruins and Boston Bruins Foundation will host community events across New England, such as hockey clinics, school visits, and more.

To kick off 100 Days of Hockey presented by Wegmans, the Fan Fest Tour made three stops across New England August 23rd - 25th. The Boston Bruins’ Centennial Game, which marks the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ first game against the Montreal Maroons in 1924, will be the finale to the 100-day long initiative on December 1st, 2024. Every day in between will include community events, such as:

  • Learn to Play presented by Pure Hockey
  • Pure Hockey Clinics
  • TD Bank PASS Clinics
  • BFit School Assembly Programs powered by National Grid
  • STEM school visits
  • Team community visits
  • Pass the Torch Showcase

Each Wednesday during the 100 Days of Hockey, “Wegmans Wednesdays” will feature programming throughout New England to support local communities across hockey rinks, schools, Wegmans supermarkets, and more. The Boston Bruins Foundation will be donating $100,000 to youth hockey organizations throughout New England in conjunction with 100 Days of Hockey. Fan Fest Tour

From August 23rd – 25th, 2024, the Boston Bruins visited fans across New England to kick off 100 Days of Hockey presented by Wegmans with the Fan Fest Tour! Each stop included a day full of fun, featuring:

  • Bruins player and alumni appearances
  • Hockey interactives
  • Kid-friendly BFit fitness activities
  • Professional, personalized equipment fittings for participants of Learn to Play presented by Pure Hockey
  • Additional photo opportunities, including a mock Bruins locker room
  • Giveaways from the Bruins and our partners
  • NESN Play-by-Play Kiosk

Boston Bruins Foundation Youth Hockey Fundraising Challenge

In conjunction with 100 Days of Hockey presented by Wegmans, the Boston Bruins Foundation will be donating $100,000 in cash grants and additional prizes to local, non-profit youth hockey players, teams, and organizations through the Youth Hockey Fundraising Challenge. From August 23rd - November 29th, participants can compete in seven (7) challenges by fundraising for a chance to win incredible prizes. Prizes include:

  • Cash grants worth up to $25,000
  • Tickets to a Bruins home preseason game for your entire team
  • Team skate at Warrior Ice Arena
  • 50/50 Raffle Beneficiary at a Bruins home game
  • Bruins alumni appearance at a practice
  • New head-to-toe Bauer equipment
  • Exclusive Bruins merchandise

PASS THE TORCH SHOWCASE

The Pass the Torch Showcase, taking place on November 30, 2024, marks the start of the next 100 years of Boston Bruins hockey. The showcase will include youth hockey players from all walks of life and celebrate their differences while uniting them with one thing they all have in common: their love of hockey. Teams participating in the showcase will be from NHL affiliated Hockey is for Everyone programs and USA Hockey’s special hockey disciplines. More details will follow as the showcase date approaches.
