SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced the Wild Foundation Gala raised a record $477,775 in gross proceeds to benefit the **Minnesota Wild Foundation** and the Child & Family Services program at **Children’s Minnesota**.

Taking place on Dec. 4 at Xcel Energy Center, the Wild Foundation Gala offered 404 guests, accompanied by 23 Wild players and the Wild coaching staff, the opportunity to enjoy specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a wonderful dinner served by Wild celebrity waiters. Event emcees Audra Martin and Kevin Gorg led the program and provided color analysis of the player’s serving abilities. Silent and live auctions, featuring amazing memorabilia and unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, helped raise the record $477,775, alongside sales of tickets and merchandise and generous donations from attendees and supporters.

“The Minnesota Wild Foundation Gala continues to be the Wild Foundation's largest fundraising event year after year, and we are so grateful for the continued support and generosity of our fans and donors as well as the Minnesota Wild players and Hockey Operations staff that participates,” said Rachel Schuldt, Executive Director of the Minnesota Wild Foundation. “This event is a great showcase of both the organization and community’s dedication to creating a greater State of Hockey for all.”

The Wild Foundation Gala benefits the Minnesota Wild Foundation and its premier community partner, Children’s Minnesota. The Child & Family Services at Children’s Minnesota provides patient families access to things like child life specialists, music therapists and pet therapy that help kids through difficult medical procedures at no cost to families. This is in line with the mission of the Minnesota Wild Foundation to grow the game of hockey and support pediatric medical related causes. Since the first event in 2003, The Wild Foundation has raised nearly $3.4 million for charity with more than $2.1 million benefitting Children’s Minnesota.
