Our first Next Wave Report of the 2022-23 season is here. In this edition of Next Wave learn more about what our prospects have been up to and how they've been making strides in recent weeks.
Let's take a dive into this week's update of our Next Wave report, presented by Kaiser Permanente.

Cam you believe it?
Cam Lund made waves by scoring his first NCAA career hat trick in a 4-4 tie against Boston College on Nov. 11. The forward is riding a three-game point streak and now ranks fourth on Northeastern in points. Among collegiate freshmen, Lund ranks T-3rd in plus-minus, fourth in shots and T-9th in points.
A Mann on a mission
Strauss Mann recorded his first North American professional shutout with a 21-save performance against San Diego on Nov. 16. Mann earned his first AHL win on Nov. 10 after stopping 32-of-35 shots in a game against Ontario. While splitting time with the Barracuda, Mann appeared in one contest for Wichita in the last two weeks, earning a 4-3 overtime win against Tulsa on Nov. 6 with a 34-save performance. Mann's .940 save percentage is the fourth-best mark among goaltenders with four or more games played.
How Swede it is
Filip Bystedt skated in three games for Sweden's U-20 team in the 2022 Three Nations Tournament (Sweden, Finland, Czechia) in the Czech Republic. The center registered six points (1g, 5a) at the tournament, including a dominant four-point (1g, 3a) performance against Finland's U-19 team. He co-led Sweden with a pair of assists three days earlier against Czechia's U-20 team.
