Meet Dino

The Minnesota Wild is pleased to welcome the franchise's sixth team dog, Dino. Dino joins the Wild as part of the team's Adopt-A-Dog program. The program's mission is to give a local hero their own hero.

Dino will be a frequent visitor to the Wild offices and will occasionally visit practice at TRIA Rink at the Treasure Island Center.

About the Adopt-A-Dog Process

Adoption
The Minnesota Wild adopted Dino from Coco's Heart Dog Rescue, a local non-profit organization that rescues dogs from unfortunate situations.

Training
While under our care, Dino will receive basic training from Wild staff preparing him for service training. Wild staff will also socialize Dino by bringing him to public events.

Service Training
In the summer of 2024, the Wild will donate Dino to Soldier's 6, a local non-profit that provides honorably discharged veterans and first responders who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) a specially trained K-9. Dino will complete a 4-6 month training and certification in partnership with KLN/NutriSource.

Forever Home
After the service training is complete and Dino has received the proper certification, Soldier's 6 will place him with a deserving service member or first responder with PTSD at no cost to the recipient.

Please consider making a donation to Coco's Heart Dog Rescue and Solider's 6. Your donation supports these organizations on their mission to rescue, train and place dogs like ours.
