Minny has been home chilling out. They haven't played since beating the Flames 3-0 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday night.
BIG Z:
Nikita Zadorov scored his ninth goal of the season last night in Dallas as he expands on his career high for goals in a single campaign. Zadorov leads all Russian-born defenceman in goals this season and has the most points by a Russian-born defenceman in Flames franchise history (35). Zadorov's 12 goals as a member of the Flames are the sixth-most by a Russian skater in Flames history, just two goals behind Andrei Nazarov for fifth spot on the list.
IMPRESSIVE COMPANY:
Troy Stecher fed Zadorov last night in Dallas for his first point as a member of the Flames. With the helper, Stecher moves within three-points of the 100-point plateau in his career and is looking to join 28 other active undrafted NHL skaters who have eclipsed 100 career NHL points.
ONE AWAY FROM 200:
Elias Lindholm scored his 199th career goal last night in Dallas, putting him one away from 200 in his NHL career. Lindholm is looking to become the sixth active Swedish-born skater to reach the milestone, and the fifth from the 2013 draft class. The Boden, Sweden native has scored 135 of his 199 goals as a member of the Flames and currently has the fourth-most goals by a Swedish-born player in Flames franchise history. Only Mikael Backlund (180), Hakan Loob (193), and Kent Nilsson (229) have more.
Flames - Jonathan Huberdeau
The easy answer here would be Mr. Tyler Toffoli, oh he of the amazing game-winner with seven seconds left against Dallas. But Huberdeau was on a mission in the win over the Stars, collecting a pair of helpers - including setting up Toffoli's winner with a heads-up pass - and recording a pair of shots.
But those numbers don't tell the whole story. He - along with Nazem Kadri - seemed to mesh with new linemate Nick Ritchie, Huberdeau setting up his first goal as a Flame to open the scoring. No. 10 was rolling all night, showing off his deft passing skills and could have collected a half-dozen helpers with the incredible passes he was dishing all game.
Wild - Kirill Kaprizov
If you play the Wild, Kaprizov is the alwaysthe player to watch. His impressive stats are listed above. He's leading the team for a reason - incredible skill coupled with amazing hockey sense. He can go north-south and put on a clinic, but his ability to circle in the zone and find open ice is his arguably his greatest attribute.
When scoring four or more goals, the Flames are 20-1-2 this season.
