Practice Notes

Sam Bennett did not skate on Saturday (unfit to participate) and Justin Kirkland was assigned to the Stockton Heat.
Forward Brett Ritchie joined Group B after signing a PTO with the organization. Ritchie, a Dallas second round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, is coming off of a season split between the Boston Bruins and the Providence Bruins. The 27-year-old right-shot forward has played 268 NHL games in his career, scoring 35 goals and 60 points.
Oliver Kylington also participated in practice on Saturday, skating in Group B. He was paired with Alexander Petrovic for his first team skate.
Connor Zary, Jakob Pelletier and Dustin Wolf did not skate with either group on Saturday but will likely be integrated into practices in the coming days and could play in Monday's intrasquad scrimmage.

Coming Soon

The Flames will hold practices on Sunday before going through a game day routine on Monday when they play an intrasquad scrimmage at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Starting at 7:00 PM MT, the scrimmage will be streamed on CalgaryFlames.com.
