The Flames coaching staff is made up of interim head coach Geoff Ward, assistant coaches Ryan Huska, Martin Gelinas, Ray Edwards and Jamie Pringle (video) along with goaltending coach Jordan Sigalet.
Edwards joined the Flames staff in a player development role at the start of the 2015-16 season. Prior to that, Edwards was a head coach in the American Hockey League with the Portland Pirates (2011-2015) and the San Antonio Rampage (2009-2011). His coaching career started in 1995 as a player assistant in Huntington (ECHL) before he became the head coach there in 1998 through 2000. He spent the 2001-02 season as the head coach in Cincinnati (ECHL) before taking over the coaching duties with San Angelo (CHL) from 2003-2005. He spent the 2006-07 season as the head coach with New Mexico (CHL) followed by three seasons as the assistant coach with San Antonio (AHL).
