DATE WITH THE DEVILS
Tonight's game is the first in a two-game season set between the Calgary Flames and New Jersey Devils. The clubs will wrap up the series on Feb. 3 in Newark, NJ. In their 2015-16 season series, the Flames and Devils split the pair of contests with the home team winning their respective games. Johnny Gaudreau led the Flames in scoring against the Devils last year with three points. Sean Monahan and Matt Stajan trailed the winger with two points each in their two skates against New Jersey.
In their last 10 games against New Jersey, Calgary has a 7-2-1 record and have won their last five games against the Devils at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
