FACING THE RANGERS
The Calgary Flames went 1-1-0 against the New York Rangers in the 2015-16 season, picking up a 5-4 overtime win at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Dec. 12, 2015. In their last 10 home games against the Rangers, the Flames have a 5-2-3 record and have earned nine out of a possible 12 points in their last four games against New York at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Goaltender Chad Johnson is the only Flames player to have spent time with the Rangers, posting a 1-2-1 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .911 save percentage during parts of two seasons.
New York forward Josh Jooris started his NHL career in Calgary, spending two seasons with the organization. In 119 games with the Flames, Jooris scored 16 goals and 37 points.

STRIKING TWICE
On Thursday, Johnny Gaudreau scored two goals in the 4-2 setback to the Dallas Stars and is now just one of five players in the NHL with nine or more multi-goal games since the start of the 2015-16 season. He joins Jamie Benn (9), Alexander Ovechkin (9), Wayne Simmonds (9), and Sidney Crosby (11) in that group.
Gaudreau is tied with Michael Frolik for the team lead in scoring with 10 points and heads into tonight's game on a two-game point streak.
CAN'T STOP KULLY
Brett Kulak picked up the primary assists on both of Gaudreau's goals on Thursday, giving him his first multi-point game in the NHL. He played a career-high 20:32 against the Stars and was a plus-two in the setback. In seven skates this season, the 22-year-old has three assists and has not posted a negative plus/minus rating in a single game.
