The Flames have acquired defenceman Kristians Rubins from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for future considerations. He has been assigned to the Calgary Wranglers.
The Latvian defenceman, who signed a one-year contract with the Senators last summer, has spent the 2022-23 season in the AHL in Belleville. In 42 games, he has two goals and six points.
Rubins has played three NHL games in his career, all of which came in 2021-22 when he was a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.
