CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled forward Hunter Shinkaruk from the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League. Additionally, the Flames have placed forward Kris Versteeg on injured reserve.
Shinkaruk, a Calgary native, is tied for second on the Heat in points this season with eight from four goals and four assists. He is coming off a two-assist performance last night in Stockton's 6-1 victory over San Diego. In seven games with Calgary last season, the 22 year old recorded two goals and one assist.
