The Calgary Flames will hold their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night on Thursday, Nov. 4 when they host the Dallas Stars at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Flames will support this league-wide initiative with a portion of the proceeds directed to Hockey Fights Cancer initiatives from the Flames Foundation 50/50 presented by RE/MAX. Hockey Fights Cancer apparel will also be available in FanAttic stores during November.
In support of this campaign, players will sport lavender-coloured jerseys and tape on their sticks during warm up, as well as Hockey Fights Cancer helmet decals throughout this month. The lavender jerseys will be auctioned off in support of Hockey Fights Cancer initiatives immediately after warm up. To bid on Calgary Flames players' jerseys, visit

Thanks to Air Canada, Dan will be flown out to sing the Canadian national anthem in person at the Scotiabank Saddledome, after delivering the anthem virtually at last season's Hockey Fights Cancer game.
Accompanying Dan & George on the carpet for the national anthem will be 16-year-old Aman Ravji, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in November 2019. He will participate in various in game activations throughout the evening.
All Flames players will have Hockey Fights Cancer decals on their helmet along with the placement of lavender and Hockey Fights Cancer rink boards. Those attending the game can also find "I Fight For" cards at the entrance of their section, to personalize and use during the game. Fans are encouraged to hold up their signs during a TV timeout in the first period.

About Calgary Flames Foundation

The Flames Foundation strives to improve the lives of southern Albertans through support of health and wellness, education and grassroots sports. Since inception the Calgary Flames Foundation has donated over $50 million to southern Alberta charities. In 2006 the Flames Foundation and Rotary Clubs of Calgary donated $2.5 million to help build the Rotary Flames House, southern Alberta's first free standing hospice for youth. The Flames Foundation continues to donate annually to the Rotary Flames House. After donating $1 million to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta to help build Camp Kindle, the Flames Foundation donates annually to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation PEER Program. The Flames Foundation is proud to support a number of southern Alberta charities in the fight against cancer, in addition to the above, including the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta Cancer Foundation and more.

About Hockey Fights Cancer™

Founded in 1998 by the National Hockey League® and the National Hockey League Players' Association, Hockey Fights Cancer™ (HFC) unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. The initiative gets an assist from players, coaches, officials, equipment managers, front office staff, corporate partners, and fans. Together, the hockey family looks to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer. November is Hockey Fights Cancer Month across the NHL. Hockey Fights Cancer will, once again, help the American Cancer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, and Movember Foundation provide a better quality of life for patients, caregivers, and their families.
