Forward inks one-year, $900,000 deal

The Calgary Flames announce today that they have signed forward Brett Ritchie.
TERM: One year
AAV: $900,000

Ritchie, a native of Orangeville, Ont., played 32 games with the Flames last season, his first in Calgary, recording four goals and four assists for eight points while accumulating 24 penalty minutes. In 300 career NHL games, over the course of his nine-year professional career, Ritchie has totaled 68 points with Dallas, Boston and the Flames. The 6-foot-4, 220-lb. right-winger was originally drafted in the second round (44th overall) by Dallas in the 2011 NHL Draft.
