The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed left winger Marek Hrivik to a one-year, two-way contract.
Calgary also traded goaltender Tom McCollum to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a conditional 7th round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.
Hrivik, a native of Cadca, Slovakia, split last season between the New York Rangers and their affiliate in Hartford. In 16 games with the Rangers, Hrivik registered a pair of assists while netting 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points in 56 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
