FLAMES SIGN MATTHEW PHILLIPS

The Calgary Flames have announced today that they have signed forward Matthew Phillips to a three-year entry-level contract.
Phillips, a native of Calgary, has 28 goals and 31 assists for 59 points in 39 games this season with the Victoria Royals (WHL). Phillips' 59 points is good for first on his team and seventh in the WHL, he also leads the WHL in short-handed goals with four.
