The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed goaltender Artyom Zagidulin to a one-year two-way contract.
Zagidulin, a native of Magnitogorsk, Russia, completed his first season in North America with the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League. In 30 appearances this season, the 24 year old established a record of 16-7-1 with a 3.07 GAA and a .898 save percentage.
Prior to originally signing with Calgary in March of 2019, Zagidulin played three seasons with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL. During the 2018-19 season he played in 25 games, posting a 12-7-3 record with a .924 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA. He was named to the MHL All-Star Game in 2014-15 and was the KHL Rookie of the Month in October of 2016.
