HUBERDEAU ON FIRST BATTLE OF ALBERTA:

ON ONLY TRIP TO EDMONTON THIS YEAR:

"I was actually surprised when I looked at the schedule. But that's what it is - we don't decide the schedule. Every game is going to be tough and obviously division games are always important."

ON WEARING AN 'A' THIS YEAR:

"It's nice to have the confidence (in the coaches). I've been in the league for 10-plus years and I was a leader in Florida, so I want to come here and do the same thing. There's a lot of great leaders in this room. Even guys that don't have an 'A,' they're still leaders. But obviously it's nice to get the confidence from Darryl."

"We come here once so we have to get that win"

TANEV ON TONIGHT'S GAME

"Obviously, we have some new key players to our team. Still trying to get our game to where it needs to be. Had a good start last game, but need to carry that throughout 60 minutes, especially against this team. We know how potent they are and how quickly they can score, so we have to play a full 60 minutes against them."

"We need to be a disciplined team tonight"

SUTTER ON VLADAR GETTING THE START:

"Our theme coming into the season was we wanted to make sure... There's 26 weeks in a season and we wanted to make sure that Vladar gets a game a week. Just the way this month works. Quite honest, when Marky was under the weather last game, we thought about playing (Vladar) against Colorado and then Marky here. But he chose Game 1, so this is Game 2."

ON SEASON SERIES VS. EDMONTON:

"It's as far north as we'll play a game this winter. Hard to believe. One game (in Edmonton)."

ON LEADERSHIP GROUP:

"In order for our team to take a step this year - I've said it lots - is that 23 to 29 age group has to be better players than they were last year and part of that is leadership. Lindy (Elias Lindholm) is in that group. We would prefer that leadership comes out of that group. Lindy and Jonny (Huberdeau) will both be alternate captains this year."
