No quit.
Trailing 1-0 after 40 minutes in Game 5, it was time for the leaders in the Flames locker-room to be vocal to give the group a boost.
And boy did it pay off, the homeside playing a near picture-perfect final stanza.

"There were a few things said, don't want to get too much into detail," Blake Coleman said before boarding the team plane to Dallas Thursday. "It was a big period for us obviously. They played a really stingy game. Our group stuck with it, nobody was really frustrated. It was one of those things that we knew it was going to take a little bit of a stronger effort to get the puck in the net. It was a big third for us and now we go to Dallas with a hold on the series.
"I think that period is a great model for us to keep building on. If we play like that in the next game, we're going to be in great shape."
The Flames came out relentless in their attack, resulting in three unanswered goals, with the first two in a span of just over four minutes that had the C of Red in a frenzy.

"That third period is a great model for us"

The trio of Andrew Mangiapane, Mikael Backlund and Coleman provided the first two tallies, rewarded for their tenacity in the tilt.
"It's one of those things that you just have chemistry," Coleman said. "They both are similar players in a sense that they see the game really well and work really hard in both ends of the ice. The majority of our offence is based off forechecking, turnovers and hard work.
"I think we all share that aspect of the game, whatever it is we just complement each other. Those two were big last night and a big reason why we're in the spot we are in."
Coleman finished the night with an assist, three shots, three hits and 15:55 of hard minutes.
He's been there before, knowing what it takes to win in the post-season and provided a spark when needed.

"Johnny's been really good in the playoffs"

"It's hard during the game for a lack of a better word, you get the (expletive) kicked out of you during the game and you have to be willing to do it to somebody else," said Darryl Sutter Thursday. "You saw it the whole game. He (Blake) is a great competitor. He's got to be a great competitor every shift.
"The recency affect has a lot to do with it. Coles, Lewis and with Ty (Tyler Toffoli) going last year to the finals, has a big impact."
The Flames can now close out the series Friday night.
"This time of year, if there's not a buzz something is wrong," Coleman said. "It's definitely in the room, we feel there was a lot of excitement after the comeback last night. But to my point, you need to refocus and settle back in because we haven't won anything yet.
"We'll celebrate when we actually have something to celebrate."
