Jacob Markstrom's stellar February has earned him Second Star Of The Month honours from the NHL.

The Swede went 8-1-0 last month, posting a 2.04 GAA and a .929 save percentage. He also pitched one shutout in February, bringing his season total to a league-leading eight.

CGY@CBJ: Markstrom denies Roslovic with stick

Markstrom allowed two or less goals in seven games last month and made a season-high 46 saves on Feb. 10, a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

VGK@CGY: Markstrom makes save on Patrick

Markstrom joins Miikka Kiprusoff (12x), Roman Turek (2x) and Brian Elliott as the fourth Flames netminder in the past 25 years to record as eight victories in a single month.
The 32-year-old now has a 24-11-5 record with a 2.13 GAA (fifth best in the NHL) and a .925 save percentage (fifth best in the NHL).
