MARKSTROM NAMED 2ND STAR OF THE WEEK

Jacob Markstrom's recent 3-0-0 run has earned him Second Star Of The Week.
The Swede stopped 76 of the 78 shots he faced last week, posting a 0.67 GAA anda .974 save percentage. During that stretch, he posted his league-leading ninth shutout of the season as well.

On Monday, he backstopped the Flames to a 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers, making 27 saves. He followed that up with a 30-save performance on Thursday, carrying Calgary to a 4-1 victory over Tampa Bay. He ended the week with a 3-0 shutout win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday.
With nine shutouts on the year, he is now one away from tying Miikka Kiprusoff's single-season franchise record.
Markstrom now holds a 28-11-6 record this season, with a 2.07 GAA and a .928 save percentage.
