SAN JOSE - Time flies when you're having fun.
For Jonathan Huberdeau, it feels like just yesterday he was playing in his rookie season with the Florida Panthers, the team that drafted him third overall in 2011. But tonight, he'll be lacing up for his 700th regular-season game in the league.
"I'm sure for everyone it's kind of like that. It goes by. You've got to enjoy it while it's there. It's nice to play in the NHL, the best sport in the world in my mind. You've just got to enjoy every moment of it."
"Pretty cool playing 700 and can't wait for 1000."

Huberdeau spent 10 seasons in Florida before being acquired by the Flames this past summer, skating in a franchise-leading 671 games with the Panthers and leading them in all-time assists (415), points (613), and even-strength goals (150).
Since coming to Calgary and inking a eight-year contract extension, his career totals now sit at 203 goals, 428 assists, 631 points, 426 even-strength points, 199 powerplay points, 26 game-winning goals, a +44 rating, and 1,623 shots.

"It's always tough to play in this building"

Not too shabby of a resume.
But for Huberdeau, the focus tonight is far from personal achievements.
It's on getting his club back on track after Friday's 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues, their fifth-straight setback. The team's record now sits at 13-12-6 with 32 points on the year, placing them fifth in a competitive Pacific Division.
"Before Christmas, I think it's important for us to go get some points, get back into a playoff spot," he said. "That's what we want to do. It starts tonight. It's a huge road trip, four games."

While he hasn't faced off against the Sharks very often throughout his career, he has found success against San Jose. In 14 career games, Huberdeau has picked up 12 points, put 31 shots on net, and scored one game-winner.
"It's always tough to play in this building," he said of tonight's opponents. "For us, get a good start. I don't think we've had one in awhile so take the lead and play with the lead the whole game. That's what we're going to try to do. They're on a back-to-back - St. Louis (on Friday), we didn't take advantage of that at home. They were on a back-to-back. So here, we've got to take advantage and have a good start."
Tonight's game starts at 8:00 p.m. MT with Sportsnet West carrying the television broadcast. Follow the Flames on
