SEASON SERIES:Tonight's game is the final time the Flames and Florida Panthers will meet in the 2016-17 regular season. The Flames took the opening match-up in the two-game season set by a score of 5-2 back on Jan. 17 in Calgary. Mikael Backlund (2), Mark Giordano, Kris Versteeg and Sean Monahan scored and Chad Johnson made 20 saves in the victory. "I liked our resolve," Glen Gulutzan said in his post-game media address. "We made a couple mistakes early that cost us some chances, but we stuck to our game and for the most part of the game we had the better looks, the better chances and we were carrying the play."

FLAMES' TEAM SCOPE:Tonight's game will be the second in as many nights for the Flames. They're coming off of a 3-2 win in Tampa on Thursday, which saw Dougie Hamilton score one goal and two assists. Sean Monahan also scored, hitting the 100-goal mark in his career, and Brian Elliott made 23 saves. The Flames are now 3-0-1 in their last four games and are sitting in the second Wildcard spot in the West. Nashville holds the first position with a 29-22-9 record and 67 points on the year. The Flames will wrap up their road swing on Sunday when they make a stop in Raleigh to face the Carolina Hurricanes at 3:00 PM MT.

PANTHERS' TEAM SCOPE:With 66 points, the Panthers are in the midst of fight to pull into an Eastern Conference Wildcard spot. They trail the New York Islanders, who hold the second Wildcard position, and the Boston Bruins by two points. Both teams have games in hand on the Panthers, who have played 59 this year. Florida is coming off of a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. Aleksander Barkov, Colton Sceviour and Jonathan Marchessault scored while James Reimer made 31 saves in the setback. Vincent Trochek leads the Panthers with 21 goals and 42 points this year. Marchessault (18 goals, 36 points) and Barkov (15 goals, 36 points) round out the top three in team scoring.
