SUNRISE -David Rittich will get the start tonight against the Panthers as the Flames look to win their sixth straight game.
Rittich is 3-1 with a 2.04 goals-against average and .924 save percentage in 266 minutes of action since being called up from the Stockton Heat to back up Mike Smith.
"When a guy that competes hard like he does night in and night out for our group, when he gets in there the guys want to play in front of him," said coach Glen Gulutzan. "It's always good to have that kind of goalie. He's going to need to play a good game and that's his job as a backup is to come in on these tougher nights."
