While Glen Gulutzan is pleased with how quickly Curtis Lazar has acclimatized to his new team, the forward won't be making his Flames debut.
Calgary is in the midst of a seven-game winning streak and when they face off against the Montreal Canadiens this evening, Gulutzan will be keeping his lineup intact.
"I chatted with him yesterday after practice and went through a little bit of a plan, what we see. Obviously he knows we've won a few in a row and he's waiting his time to get in ... he is up to speed with everything we've done," Gulutzan said.
"We want to get him set so that when we put him in, he has a real good chance to have success and good games. We feel he's real close to that now, with practicing and being around the guys. We've had him take warm-up, be in our locker room, go through our meetings.
"We're on a good streak right now ... like Freddie Hamilton, he's just got wait and see when he can get in."
