Glen Gulutzan on the Flames adding pieces before the NHL Trade Deadline:
"You can tell with the energy in there, there's a vibe. This is the first time in my coaching career that we've had it at the deadline. It's not like a huge shift for your team - it adds a little juice. I think most guys in our locker room would agree, there's a little bit of juice in their steps today. They know it's on. It's on. We're making a push and we're sitting in a playoff spot and we'd like to continue to push and see where else we can."
Gulutzan on the Predators and the message sent after they fell to Nashville last month:
"We know this is a really good hockey team. They play hard. Our message was that we've got to play more than five minutes. We've got to come out here and be ready for a battle. This is a four-point game. We talked about certain things down the stretch that are important to our group and important for us to get into the playoffs. Four-point games against someone you're battling with is important. We'll be ready to play a harder game right from the start, we know they will (too)."

Gulutzan on Garnet Hathaway being assigned to Stockton:
"It's the business part of the game but our message to Hath was pretty simple: he's a big part of what we're doing up here and he's got to go down there and get them going. We'll see at Hath at some point. He's a big part of what we're doing here. He's contributed for us every time he's on the ice."
Gulutzan on putting Brian Elliott in net this evening:
"In Vancouver, I thought he gave us a chance ... he made some big saves to keep it 1-0 later on, especially on the PK. I think he's in a little bit of a rhythm so he's going to get this one tonight."
Mark Giordano on facing the Predators:
"It's a four-point game ... they have a game in hand on us and all that stuff but again, we've got to keep playing that simple, north-south game. They're a really good team, a really deep team. We didn't like the game went the last time they came into our building. I thought they controlled the play so we've got to be ready for a fast team, real skilled. They play the right way so we have to do the same."
Michael Stone on being on a team that is pushing for a playoff spot:
"I want to be a playoff player. I got two games in in a Western Conference Final where I sat around for two months, through two rounds, then got thrown into the fire. I haven't really even had a full playoff experience. I'm looking forward to getting there."
Stone on his style of game working well down the stretch:
"I'd like to think so. I haven't experienced it in a long time so it's going to be somewhat of a new challenge and I'm looking forward to that."
Stone on his hit on Mikael Backlund in the WHL:
"I think it hurt me just as much as it hurt him. It was a big collision."
