TOFFOLI ON RE-GROUPING FOR TONIGHT:

ON FACING THE KRAKEN:

"You don't want to get yourself into a routine of winning one and losing one. It's not what a good team does. I think tonight's a really good test against a team that plays hard and doesn't give up much. I think we take pride in creating a lot of opportunities, I think it's a good opportunity for us tonight.
"You've got to look at the positives, find a way to make yourself better from the negatives - and like I said, we're playing a really good team that doesn't give up a lot of opportunities. They play hard and they're in a playoff spot and we're not."

ON LAST NIGHT AGAINST EDMONTON:

"I think if you look at the chances that we had and the chances that we gave up - obviously, Marky played great - but at the same time, I thought we did a pretty good job. We worked hard and gave ourselves a chance to win. We've just got to find a way to win."

ON COMPETITIVE PACIFIC DIVISION:

"I've been in the Pacific most of my career and I feel like it's always kind of been one of the harder divisions to play in. The checking is always tight and I think it's hard to do the California trip and the Canadian trip. Yeah, it's harder - but at the same time, you look at (the standings) and everything's close, so we've got to find a way to get points and string them all together."

ON GENERATING OFFENCE:

"A lot of the shots that we got, they weren't necessarily hard saves for (Stuart Skinner) to make, so we definitely have to do a better job and if we do that, then we're going to create some more goals."

TANEV ON HOW LAST NIGHT PLAYED OUT:

"At the end of the day, it's a loss and you learn from it and you've got to get better and be ready for a team that has four lines and three good pairs. They play very hard and they play fast."

'They play hard and they play fast'

ON THE CHALLENGE THE KRAKEN PRESENT:

"We know how fast they are. We know they're going to forecheck hard and they defend extremely well. They're the complete package right now and we have to be ready to play the full, 200-foot game."

ON HIS D PARTNER, WEEGAR:

"Weegs is playing well, moving well, and (he's) obviously a really good skater and moves the puck well. He's getting pucks to the net and one of them is going to go in soon. He's definitely a very good player, a very solid player and as a pair, I think we can be even a little bit better, but we'll continue to progress and do what we need to do to win games."
