PELLETIER ON SCORING HIS FIRST GOAL:

ON HOW IT PLAYED OUT:

"Huby passed to Naz and it was a great play and then Naz, it was like a 2-on-1. I was like, 'Come on, Pelts. Come on", man, let's go!' So, I skated and then I had like a b-way and I shoot and score."

ON GAINING CONFIDENCE AT THIS LEVEL:

"It's great. To play with two superstars, the game is not easy, but it's… (easier), yeah. For me, try to go to the net and try to produce offence."

GILBERT ON SCORING IN HIS HOMETOWN:

"I just jumped up in the play was yelling at (Dube) to drop it. Probably could have walked in a little bit, but tried to hit it hard and I'll tell my kids one day that it went bar down. They don't ask now. … I was almost laughing that it went in. It wasn't a very good shot. It's not exactly my calling card."

ON PLAYING HIS FIRST GAME IN BUFFALO:

"It was a good experience. I thought as a great, we maybe started a bit slower than we would have liked, but we had a good response between periods and thought we had a good second and third.
"I will say, it was nice hearing a couple boos at some points in the game because they were getting rattled with how we were playing."

ON CLOSING THE GAME OUT:

"It's just a testament to our maturity as a team and our leadership. We had a gameplan going into the third period and I thought having a good start was having a big part of that, obviously. It's a 2-0 game that can swing either way, so you want to make sure you have a good start and get the next one."

ON PELLETIER'S GOAL:

"His personality is awesome and he's got a great energy to him. Whenever something like that happens, it lifts the whole bench and everyone's excited for him, but I think it gave us a shot of life too."

TOFFOLI ON WILD SECOND PERIOD:

"Obviously, Pelts got us going. The excitement of his first goal shifted the momentum a little bit. Then, Backs next shift. Then, Gibby next shift. Felt like everything kept coming in waves and we did a really good job."

ON PELLETIER'S GOAL:

"We were all joking saying it was about time and it finally it happened. ... I said to him after the game: 'Congratulations, but don't stop at one.'"

ON HITTING THE 20-GOAL MARK:

"For me, going into every season, you set little goals. Every year, 20 goals is a mark for me and I feel like it's an expectation for myself every single season. I'm definitely not planning on stopping, I want to keep going and keep rolling. Doobs made the point that he assisted on my 20th last year, too."

SUTTER ON THE FIRST PERIOD:

"We were down 2-0 because Thompson hits the penny. Lost coverage on the rush. We were down on the scoreboard, but I didn't really think we were down. Thought we played a good period."

ON PELLETIER'S EFFORT ON HIS GOAL:

"He starts below our goal line and ends up at their goal line. I've said it all along about that kid - I said it at training camp and I said it over and over, he's got the energy and he's got the spirit for the game. He will be a good player."

ON THE ENERGY HE BRINGS:

"He's such a likeable kid. Guys feed off it. Same as Gibby's goal. Good to see those guys score. It's a long season, it's good to see different things happen."

ON HIS CONFIDENCE AFTER SCORING:

"He's awesome. I've said it from Day 1, it doesn't change. He's got a head for the game. He's a kid, so it's going to take time. I don't think it's about confidence with him. He sees the game (well) and as he gets more mature and stronger, his game will go along with it."

ON OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION:

"It's good to score, quite honest. It's a bit of a relief to score goals back-to-back in a short period of time. We've had a hard time doing that. It's not about the number of goals you score, but when you can do it. You score two or three quick ones, it makes a big difference in the game."
