BACKLUND ON GAMEPLAN TONIGHT:

#

ON PLAYING WINNIPEG:

"It's really exciting. These games are the best games to play. Always a good atmosphere here in Winnipeg, but tonight probably a little extra juice in the building as well with the importance of the game. So I'm really excited."

ON STRETCH DRIVE:

"I mean, we can just control what we can control. We gotta go out there, have a really big game tonight to win tonight. Still good chance for us, but, yeah, we need some help and looking down the stretch to have to finish off with two tough games on the road. So, but at the same time, we got to win all our games that are left, and we know that, and so if you do it, we just gotta hope we can get some help."

"We're ready to turn the page"

LUCIC ON LOOKING FORWARD:

"Well, I think, obviously, we weren't happy with our effort yesterday. And, you know, it's a big reason why we ended up with a loss. But you got to turn the page, you got to look forward to what the task in hand is and obviously a big game playing the team that we're trying to catch. And yeah, lots to look forward to - big opportunity here. So just improve on what we didn't do last night, and then bring your best tonight."

ON BACK-TO-BACKS:

"Yeah, sometimes, you know, it's easier to kind of get going on a back-to-back because you're still kind of in game mode from the night before. But, you know, we just went over the game plan and video and all that type of stuff and what we need to do to have success so I mean, everyone's looking forward forward to it. As an athlete, you look forward to these games and in playing in big games and big moments."

"You've just got to embrace the moment"

HANIFIN ON 'PLAYOFF-TYPE HOCKEY':

"Yeah, for sure. It's felt like it's been playoff hockey for a while now. And that's the type of hockey we need to play if we're gonna make it. We were playing well there for a little bit, last night was a little bit of a setback. But, you know, just to get back to our game tonight, and hopefully get come up with two points."

ON SURGING JETS:

"They've got some some real talented forwards and obviously, they have some good guys and on the backend there, so it's always a challenge playing Winnipeg and it's a tough building to play in and it gets loud. It's a huge game we just need to control some of their skill guys and try to possess the puck and not let them hang on to it too much because that's usually when they play well."

"These are always really fun games to be a part of"

MULLER ON BACK-TO-BACKS:

"Pure mental, you know. I know there's a lot of talk about back-to-backs and that type of thing, and flying in but at the end of the day, that's why they're pros. They know how to mentally prepare themselves, and, hey, these are the games that you're excited to play in. So you only have so many opportunities to really look at a game over the course of the 82-game season and say, 'Hey, this really, really matters and, and it's fun. So it's a great rink, great fans here, it'll be energetic, and I expect our guys to come out of the chute ready to go."

"Great rink, great fans"
